The inaugural Santa Barbara Passport connects bars and guests at 28 local establishments
SANTA BARBARA – May 5, 2015 – The Santa Barbara Passport, a new program that connects guests and the top venues through exciting specials and events, will be available for purchase for $20 on May 12 at ThePassportProgram.com.
The Passport Program has seen great success in previous years, bringing residents and the top establishments together through summer-long drink deals in cities such as Denver and Brooklyn. As a new West Coast expansion, the inaugural Santa Barbara Passport offers venues for passport holders to discover, and a fresh base of engaged customers for participating venues.
“Coupon books have been done before, the Passport is not that. It’s a curated guide to the beverage culture of Santa Barbara,” said Casey Berry, co-founder of the Passport Program. “The Passport is the friend that helps you decide where to go for happy hour, on a date or a Sunday afternoon.”
Locals and visitors who purchase the Santa Barbara Passport will receive a pocket-sized physical booklet with drink specials at 28 of the best bars, breweries, restaurants, and wineries. Each Passport is valid for one drink special per venue, and the holder will receive a stamp in their booklet upon redemption. The specials will run all summer from Memorial Day weekend (May 22) to Labor Day (September 7), providing ample time to collect stamps and explore.
“Santa Barbara offers not just a great nightlife, but the drinks culture is so diverse that you won’t be disappointed when sipping a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Funk Zone or a cold White Rascal beer at American Ale,” says Jane Pimcomrie, city manager for the Santa Barbara branch of the Passport Program. “The Santa Barbara Passport features enough wineries for wine-lovers, breweries for after work socializing, and unique bars for cocktail and spirits junkies. Plus it will make the heat of summer that much more enjoyable.”
